"When a child comes to Rafiki they come to us in a terrible condition. Quite often they need treatment at hospital along with medication. We need to do tests at the hospital to check that all is ok. They will come to us without any belongings, just the clothes on their back and often they are not in a condition to keep. We have to make sure they have all they need to start their healing journey including a mattress and bedding, pyjama’s, underwear, shoes, school uniform and school items, clothes, medication, trips to court, hospital etc. We also provide one on one care for the first two weeks of their arrival. The intense care that is given upon arrival is so important for the healing of our kids but this comes at a cost. Your funds will help us in this process."
